Cablul NYY este folosit ca cabluri de alimentare pentru instalații statice, în interior, exterior, subteran, în beton și în apă fără deteriorare mecanică.
Gestionarea cablurilor din PVC destinate îngropării directe conform standardului VDE HD 603/VDE 0276-603 - Partea 3-G (punctul 4), îngropate fără protecție suplimentară adecvată subterană: adâncime minimă normală de instalare 0,6 m, dar în Cel puțin 0,8 m mai jos drumul

Abrevieri conducător „re”, „rm”, „se”, „sm”:
