Applications

The primary application for ACSR, a high-capacity stranded conductor, is overhead power lines.
They have been widely used for overhead transmission lines as the most cost-effective and dependable products.
ACSR Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced Cable is widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines of various voltage levels.Due to their reliability and strength-to-weight ratio, ACSR are suitable for all practical spans of timber poles, transmission towers and other structures.

Advantages

This kind of overhead line conductors offer optimal strength for line design. Variable stranding steel cores enable desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.

Construction

ACSR is a concentrically stranded conductor composed of one or more layers of hard-drawn EC grade aluminum wires over a high strength coated steel core.

ACSR is made of multiple non-insulated single wires twisted together, the inside is a steel "core", and the outside is twisted with aluminum wires around the steel core; the steel core's primary function is to increase strength, and the aluminum stranded wire's primary function is to convey electrical energy.

Packing

Delivery lengths are determined from a consideration of such factors as physical drum dimensions, drum weights, span length, handling equipment or the customer’s request.

Packing Materials

Wooden drum, steel-wooden drum, steel drum.
