Application

The full name of ACSR Wire is aluminum conductor steel reinforced.It is a kind of bare wire without sheath.The ACSR conductors can be designed in such a way that the inside of the conductor is made of steel and the exterior of the conductor is made of pure aluminum, providing the conductor with additional strength to maintain its own weight.
ACSR wires are widely used in overhead transmission and distribution lines of various voltage levels.Due to its reliability and strength-to-weight ratio, ACSR are suitable for all practical spans of timber poles, transmission towers and other structures.

Advantages

ACSR has the characteristics of simple structure, low line cost, convenient erection and maintenance, large transmission capacity, and is conducive to laying across rivers and valleys and other special geographical conditions.
At the same time, it has good electrical conductivity and sufficient mechanical strength, tensile strength High strength, the distance between tower poles can be enlarged, etc.

Construction

ACSR is a concentrically stranded conductor which is made up of one or more layers of hard-drawn EC grade aluminum wires over a high strength coated steel core.

Delivery lengths are determined from a consideration of such factors as physical drum dimensions, drum weights, span length, handling equipment or the customer’s request.
