Application

The CSA Teck 90 600V AIA Control Cable is utilized in ventilated, non-ventilated, ladder-style cable troughs, ventilated flexible cableways, and exposed or concealed wiring in wet or dry situations.
It is suitable for direct burial, cable tray use, and concrete embedment. The 600V AIA Control Cable also has an outer jacket that resists sunshine and oil, and the teck cables are adaptable, flexible, and durable against mechanical harm and corrosion.
Circuits for control, lighting, and power are typical examples. Industries like pulp and paper, mining, steel, food and beverage, commercial centers, generating stations, refineries, chemical plants, and other industrial facilities use these interlocked armor control cables.

Construction

Conductor:
- Bare annealed copper, Class B stranding per ASTM B8; Sizes 8 AWG to 1000 kcmil
- Conductors are compact stranded to reduce cable diameter and weight

Insulation:
- Cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) per CSA C22.2
- No 38 type RW90 for unshielded cables

Grounding Conductor:
Uninsulated stranded bare copper

Armor:
Interlocking aluminum tape armor applied directly over the inner jacket

Inner Jacket:
- Black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket per CSA C22.2
- No. 131-M89, 90 C temperature rating, flame retardant, low acid gas emitting

Outer Jacket
- Black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket per CSA C22 No. 131-M89
- Low acid gas emission, limited flame spread and excellent corrosion resistance

Color Code
- 2 Core - Black, White
- 3 Core - Red, Black, Blue
- 4 Core - Red, Black, Blue, White
- 5 Core or more - Black and Numbered
- 14 AWG to 2 AWG - Colored Insulation
- 1 AWG & larger - Printed colored stripe or black and numbered
