ACSR AW Meaning

ACSR/AW Conductor is called Aluminium Conductor Aluminium Clad Steel Reinforced , which is a composite concentric-lay stranded conductor with one or more layers of hard drawn and annealed 1350-H19 aluminum wires on a central core of aluminum clad steel core.

Applications

ACSR/AW cables are widely used for overhead transmission&distribution lines and electrified railway. They are also available as neutral messenger for low voltage multiplex cables.

Advantages

ACSR /AW has fine pull-weight ratio and could bear oscillation. It has good electric performance, anti-corrosion property and a long sevice life.

Construction

Aluminum 1350 H-19 wires, concentrically stranded about an aluminum-clad steel core wire (AW).

ASTM B549 Aluminium Conductor Aluminium Clad Steel Reinforced ACSRAW Conductor (2)

Packing

Delivery lengths are determined from a consideration of such factors as physical drum dimensions, drum weights, span length, handling equipment or the customer’s request.

Packing Materials

Wooden drum, steel-wooden drum, steel drum.
