Application

Urban networks, primary and medium voltage distribution circuits for industrial and commercial facilities, electric power generators, and power supply for transformers, motors, and equipment are the best places to employ monoconductor power cables.
EATs are suitable for applications where more flexibility than that of XATs is required.

5kV, 8kV, 15kV, 25kV, 35kV

Construction

Conductor:
compacted copper conductor per ASTM B496 or ASTMB835.

Internal Semiconductor Screen:
extruded on the conductor.

 Insulation:
cross-linked polyethylene for XAT that is tree retardant. For EAT, use ethylene propylene rubber (EPR). Both materials are applied using a real triple extrusion method and have natural colors. The level of isolation may be 100%.

External Semiconductor Screen:
extruded, with adequate adhesion to the insulation that makes it easy to peel.

Metal Screen:
It can be formed by a copper tape or by copper wires, both applied helically.

Outer Cover:
Black PVC. Other colors and compounds available upon request.

Operating Characteristics

Maximum service temperature:
90 °C.

Emergency overload temperature:
130 °C.

Short circuit temperature:
250 °C.

Flexibility:
Compacted conductor.

In addition to the above, these cables have the following characteristics:
 -Good tensile strength.
-High resistance to impact and abrasion.
-Excellent resistance to sunlight and weather.
-Very high resistance to humidity, ozone, acids, alkalis and other sus-chemical substances at normal temperatures.
-Low dielectric constant, low loss factor and high resistance of isolation.
-The cover is flame retardant.
