Application

ASTM 25kV Space Aerial Cable is used in areas of high tree cover, areas with tight easements, alleyways and long open areas. This device pulls the power cords closer without letting them touch. That way, they are protected from fallen branches, wind, or other disturbances.

Constructions

Single cable with a 3-layer extruded shield and covering system made up of an extruded semiconducting thermoset conductor shield and a 2-layer covering, strengthened with aluminum conductor steel.
XLPE makes up the inner layer of the covering, and TR-XLPE makes up the outside layer.
Each layer is joined by a bond.

Conductor:
AAC (1350-H19, compact stranded).

Conductor Shield:
Extruded semiconducting thermoplastic shield which is free stripping from the conductor and bonded to the covering.

Inner and Outer Covering:
2-layer crosslinked polyethylene covering (XLPE), where the outer layer is track-resistant (TK-XLPE). All layers are bonded together. The outer layer shall be black or gray, sunlight resistant and track resistant.
