Application

URD Means Underground Residential Distribution Cable , Direct Burial Wire. Special cables called Aluminum URD cables were created for use in situations where secondary power distribution circuits were required. These cables feed utilities like commercial buildings, homes, and factories with a steady and consistent electrical supply.
Due to its wide range of uses, some of them are made for single-conductor systems, while others are two-duplex, triplex, or quadruplex. You can choose the cable that best meets your needs by thoroughly understanding each of these cords.

Specifications

Secondary type URD single conductor 600V cable meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications.
-ASTM B-230-Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes.
-ASTM B-231-Aluminum 1350 Conductors, Concentric-lay-stranded.
-ASTM B-786-19 Wire Combination Unilay-stranded Aluminum Conductors for Subsequent Insulation.
-ASTM B-901-Compressed Round Stranded Aluminum Conductors Using Single Input Wire Construction.
-Secondary type single conductor URD Direct Burial Wire meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ICEA S-105-692.
- "USE-2" per UL 854 available upon request.
