What are the advantages of ACAR conductors?

asvcav

The high strength aluminum-magnesium-silicon (AlMgSi) alloy core is reinforced with concentrically stranded wires of aluminum 1350 to create Aluminum Conductor Alloy Reinforced (ACAR). The cable design determines how many wires of the AlMgSi and Aluminum1350 alloy are used. Even though the standard design calls for an AlMgSi alloy stranded core, in some cable configurations the AlMgSi alloy wires can be layered across the Aluminum 1350 strands.

Advantages

In terms of mechanical and electrical qualities, ACAR is superior to ACSR, AAC, or AAAC equivalents. Because of its excellent mechanical and electrical balance, ACAR is the ideal option for line designs where ampacity, strength, and low weight are the primary considerations. Transmission and distribution lines that are located overhead make considerable use of these cables.
Chialawn is able to produce and supply ACAR on steel or wood reels that are not returnable or that are returnable.
