Application

In order to provide 120 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, outdoor or street lights, duplex service drop wire aluminum conductors are employed. Also for use at 600 volts or less and a maximum conductor temperature of 75°C is duplex service drop cable.

Construction

Insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene, polyethylene, or compressed 1350-H19 conductor in concentrated strands.

Phase conductor:
Round, stranded, round conductor made of aluminum 1350

Phase Core Identification:
colour strip, rib or number

Neutral/Messenger conductor:
Bare AAC,ACSR,alloy 6201 AAAC

Insulation:
Black color polyethylene(PE) or cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)

-ASTM B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded, Coated Steel Reinforced (ACSR).
-ASTM B-399 Concentric-Lay-Stranded 6201-T81 Aluminum Alloy Conductors.
-ASTM B498 Zinc-Coated Steel Core Wire for Aluminum Conductors, Steel Reinforced (ACSR).
-Duplex service drop wire meet or exceeds all applicable requirements of ANSI/ICEA S-76-474.
