Application

MV 105 15kV Cable is For use in overhead, direct burial, cable tray, conduit, and underground duct installations as permitted by the National Electric Code.
The 3 Core MV 105 cable is capable of operating continuously with a conductor temperature not to exceed 1050 degree for normal operation, 1400 degree for emergency overload conditions, and 2500 degree for short circuit conditions.

Construction

Conductor:
Annealed bare copper Compact, Class B stranding. ***Also available in Class B compressed copper..

Conductor Shield:
Extruded thermoset semi-conducting stress control layer over conductor

Insulation:
EPR-based insulation.

Insulation Shield:
Thermoset semi-conducting polymeric layer free stripping from insulation.

Metallic Shield:
5 mils annealed copper tape with an overlap of 25%

Grounding Conductors:
1 Class B copper conductor per ASTM B3 and ASTM B8.

Fillers:
Non hygroscopic fillers, forming a firm and cylindrical cable core.

Binder Tape:
Poly glass tape

Jacket:
Black flame retardant PVC jacket .
